Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) represents a market of approximately 350 million people. The CEE region attracted over USD 100 billion foreign direct investment in both 2006 and 2007. Ten of the region’s countries are now official members of the European Union,and the number of transactions within the Union and with countries outside the Union has increased significantly.
