Continental is to invest in a new re-treading factory in Eastern Europe for the manufacture of its ContiRe re-treaded tyres. This decision signifies that Continental is gradually to bring to an end the agreements it has with certain specialist suppliers, such as Marangoni. The location of the new factory is to be made known later.
