Convincing Volvo test results on Bio-DME
Volvo Trucks has been carrying out tests for some time on vehicles driven by Bio-DME (dimethylether), a fuel which is produced from biomass and which could reduce dependence on oil and therefore the impact on the environment. Tests in real conditions carried out on Swedish roads have shown thatCO2 emissions are reduced by 95% compared to diesel. The test period is half way through and results are already exceeding expectations, says Volvo.
