Dutch transporters show little optimism
|
In the Netherlands, the survey into current conditions carried out by TLN confirms the poor health of road transport during the fourth quarter of 2011: a decrease in national and international volumes, pressure on prices from transporters operating in low salary countries and transport over-capacity. For 2012, the Dutch transporters’ forecast is pessimistic: investment perspectives are at the lowest level ever recorded, and 34% of those surveyed are expecting a ‘bad year’ against only 10% who expect a ‘good year’.
