Hellmann takes over Hit Starintex and Hit Belgium

German logistics group Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has bought from Swedish company PostNord two of its foreign subsidiaries: Hit Starintex Bv in the Netherlands (Gondringen) and Hit Belgium (Welkenraedt). The two companies employ around twenty persons. PostNord (which resulted from the merger of the Danish and Swedish post offices) had taken over Hit in 2009 and is thus abandoning its shipping activities outside of the Scandinavian market, and in particular its night shipment activities for spare parts. These will be continued within the Hellmann group and the Night Star Express network of which Hellmann is one of the shareholders. The name Hit remains the property of PostNord.
