The IRU brought together 100 representatives from the sector along with recruitment and training experts for a seminar entitled ‘Road Transport: the image of the profession ad employment’. Acknowledging that the profession risks once again suffering from a serious lack of drivers, participants emphasised the necessity of improving the image of the sector in order to attract drivers into the profession. Various methods of doing this were suggested in order to support companies in their efforts.
