Trans-European Transport Network (TEN): Taking the Bull by the Horns

Bitter disappointment: Only 7.2 billion Euros from the EU budget will be invested in bringing about the TEN major priority projects for the period 2007 to 2013. That is 4.8 billion Euros less than what the Transport Committee of the European Parliament proposed. Nevertheless this is what the Council of Ministers finally agreed on. Is this the beginning of the end for the second attempt to build a solid EU transport network?
