DHL to test 18 tonne hybrid

DHL Supply Chain is to test an 18 tonne hybrid distribution vehicle which may generate fuel savings of 15% and reduce emissions and noise levels. This test, to be carried out in collaboration with Volvo Trucks, involves a vehicle driven by an electric motor allied to a diesel engine, which can be used either separately or simultaneously. The test will last for 2 years in and around London .
