UPS aims to improve consumption
|
|
UPS has set itself the objective of improving by 20% (between 2000 and 2020) the ‘miles per gallon’ (MPG) performance of its entire parcels delivery fleet in the . This improvement is based around improvements already made between 2000 and 2009, which saw MPG increase by 10% across the 60,000 strong fleet. It should be noted that UPS has put 245 new ‘green’ vans into operation which run on natural gas, to add to the 2,000 vehicles running on alternative fuels.
