Four food giants (Kraft, Nestlé, Bacardi and Colgate) are to launch during the first quarter of 2012 the activities of a common subsidiary which will take care of organising their inter-factory transport. This company will be responsible for selecting transporters and setting pricing policy. It also intends to increase rail transport and thus decrease the CO2 footprint of the four shareholders (source : Verkehrs Rundschau).
