The KN PharmaChain division of Swiss group Kuehne + Nagel has developed a new solution for the transport of sensitive pharmaceutical products for Roche. In place of relatively uninteresting air transport from an ecological point of view, a route entirely by road has been selected at the request of the pharmaceutical group which was looking for a solution more respectful of the environment while maintaining very high quality standards at the required temperatures.

This solution uses refrigerated semi-trailers with two loading levels, whose temperature control levels enable special packaging to be used. The reduction in CO2 emissions is 85%.
