European logistics company P&O Ferrymasters has announced that it has reduced the number of journeys driven ‘empty’, along with its transport costs, and that it has simplified its activities thanks to the Quintiq Planning & Scheduling software. In order to install this solution, Quintiq worked together with The Logic Factory, a logistics systems integrator. The first phase of integrating this equipment took place in January 2011, involving the Freight Forwarding division, which represents 60% of transport activities.
