Thermo King has announced an absolute technical first for the refrigeration units of its T range, fitted on top of van units. This technique, which has already widely proved its worth in the automobile industry, is based on micro-channel coils which replace the tube condensers and the copper and aluminium blades. According to TK, this results in spectacularly improved performance: 2.5% less weight, power increased by 15% and overall efficiency improved by 21% with the quantity of coolant reduced by 28%.
