Third edition of the European Transport Company of the Year contest on April 19th, 2012

The European Transport Company of the Year award recognises the achievements of the finest road transport companies throughout Europe. The aim of the contest is to give an award to an operator whose management skills, customer dedication and all-round professionalism can be considered as an example to follow for the whole European freight transport industry

This year, the awards ceremony will take place in brussels (Crowne plaza Hotel) on 19th April 2012. The names of the winners will be unveiled in the presence of numerous other  transport professionals from all around Europe during the gala dinner of the Smart Transport Europe Forum.

The contest is open to European road transport companies:
- operating their own fleet of at least 50 motor vehicles
- operating from at least one European country (EU + CH + NO + TR)
- having road transport as their main activity 

Since its inception, the award has seen some of the most well-known operators take part, including the likes of Waberer’s (HU), Edy (RO), Reynolds (EI), Van Moer (BE), Biomet (BG), Šmidl (CZ), Mendy (FR), Skat (PL), Nord-Süd (DE), Luis Simões (PT), Laso (PT), Bakimci (TR), van Dievel (BE), Van Gansewinkel (NL), Henri Ducros (FR), Lazar (RO), Nybro (SE), Nuss (DE)…

The previous winners of the competition were Van Maanen (NL) in 2009 and Tradeteam (GB) in 2010.
