Transics, a fleet management solutions supplier has been showing at ‘Trailer’ a smartphone version of the back office programme TX-CONNECT. This TX-CONNECT Mobile version enables users to connect at any time to the TX-CONNECT platform via their smartphone : BlackBerry, iPhone, iPad, etc. they can at all times check on the activities and location of their vehicles, and also on messages from drivers, and respond immediately if necessary. Walter Mastelinck, Chief Executive Officer of Transics: “We have been more and more observing the need for this type of flexible fleet management. This is why we have developed TX-CONNECT Mobile to meet this need of our present and future clients.”  Dirk-Jan Sijp, head of ICT for Dutch transport company Moeijes which already uses this system, commented: “TX-CONNECT is a tremendous tool for our operators when they are not in the office. (…) We are connected to our vehicle fleets at all times and in all places”.
