transport market reviving at end of March
The first three months of the year have been characterised by a decrease in transport offers compared to the transport capacity available, at least on the spot market. These figures come from the Timocom Truck & Cargo Transport Barometer and freight exchange. The ratio between offer and capacity stands at 35/65 (against 44/56 in 2010 and 55/45 in 2011), and this imbalance was even more pronounced at the worst of the winter conditions. According to Timocom, the closing days of March nevertheless give rise to hope that the spring will see this trend reversed.
