UPS expects to complete TNT purchase in fourth quarter
The European Commission' s enquiry into the acquisition of TNT Express by UPS is set to enter its second phase, the two companies have announced. This second phase may last for up to 25 weeks, which takes it beyond August 31st, the closing date for the public offer to buy published by UPS. UPS has thus decided to extend its offer, without for the time being detailing until when. The two companies expect, however, to be able to conclude the transaction during the fourth quarter of this year.
