X-Ray truck inspection at borders: to be improved says IRU
A scientific study on the X-Ray inspection of trucks at border crossings, carried out by the IRU, has concluded that this process is not harmful to health or to driver safety. But the internationally recognised procedures are not always respected. The study makes several recommendations involving improved information and the establishment of X-Ray certification in order to simplify and speed up the process.
